    Dr. Teske specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. His primary surgical interests include retinal detachment, proliferative vitreoretinopathy, diabetic retinopathy, retinopathy of prematurity, epiretinal membranes, macular holes and posterior segment trauma. Academic Bio: Michael P. Teske, MD is an Associate Professor of Ophthalmology and Chief of the Division of Vitreoretinal Services as well as Medical Director of the John A. Moran Surgical Center. He joined the faculty at the University of Utah in 1987 after graduating from UCLA Medical School and completing internship and residency at the University of Utah and retina fellowship training at Wayne State University in Michigan. He is a nationally renowned vitreoretinal clinician and surgeon. He is also actively involved as principal and co-investigator in numerous clinical trials studying age-related macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular diseases. He is a member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists and has been recognized as one of America’s top Ophthalmologists by the prestigious Castle Connolly Medical Ltd. He brings more than 25 years of medical experience to the Richens Eye Center.

    Dr. Jacoby specializes in medical and surgical diseases of the retina and vitreous. Her primary clinical and surgical interests include retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, and macular and retinal degeneration. Academic Bio: Dr. Jacoby received her medical degree at Creighton University and her undergraduate bachelors degree at the University of Arizona in molecular and cell biology. She completed her internship and residency in ophthalmology at the University of Utah School of Medicine and a vitreoretinal fellowship at the Moran Eye Center, University of Utah. Dr. Jacoby’s experience, prior to joining the Richens Eye Center, includes working as a member of the clinical faculty at the VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City and serving as Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wisconsin. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, and the Wisconsin Ophthalmology Society. Presently, she is an associate professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine Moran Eye Center. The Richens Eye Center is honored to have Dr. Jacoby as part of the exceptional retinal team.
